The perfect winter jacket for 2021?

Hey beautiful! In this post I'm going to review my thoughts about the new CG Trillium Parka and how it compares to the 2018.

As you may have seen from previous posts, I love a good comfy/stylish jacket, and living in the northeast makes warmth a MUST.

That's one of the things I love about CG. It is stylish, practical, SO WARM, and do I even need to mention the QUALITY...?

This season I noticed my parka was starting to feel a bit tight ***quarentine bod..sighhh*** After 3 winter seasons, my original trillium still looked brand new and I think that's a huge testament to the quality of the construction and design. I quickly sold it on Ebay and didn't lose much money.

In my search for a replacement I ordered a Lululemon long puffer first, for about half the price of a CG, and I was so shocked at the fabric and seems.I doubt it would last beyond one season with daily wear, so back it went. She was cute, but 450$ is steep for thin material.

Back to CG I went, and ordered the 2021 version of my tried and true Trillium!

First Impressions:

My original purchase came in a gorgeous CG storage bag with storage bag and hanger. The 2021 came without a box but with everything else. I hope this is a fluke, because I really loved having the box!

All CG Parka's with fur ruffs do vary and that's normal. Sometimes you get lucky and it's very fluffy, and sometimes it's just ok. This one seems a lot more yellow/brown then my older purchase and less fluffy. I've ordered 2 others and I'm planning to keep the nicest one since returns are free!

One other thing, the hood feels different. It almost feels thinner or like different materials are used? And the waist draw strings feel a bit different. Over all it's not bad, but something is different.

I switched from Algonquin green to black with this new purchase. I looved having my deep green parka, and it matched everything really well..BUT, I am a all black everything girl at heart, and this one feels like me :)

Details:

I hope this helps if you are looking into purchasing a parka for yourself! You can shop my favorite CG Parkas in the AF links below :)
